Herniated Disc

A herniated disc refers to a condition where one of the spinal discs, which act as cushions between the vertebrae, becomes damaged and protrudes out of its normal position. This can cause intense pain, numbness, and weakness in the affected area. Neurofunctional acupuncture and desensitization of nerves have shown promise in alleviating pain associated with herniated discs. Neurofunctional acupuncture involves the strategic placement of fine needles at specific points along the body to stimulate the nervous system and promote natural pain relief. By targeting the underlying mechanisms of pain transmission, this technique can help reduce inflammation, improve blood flow, and release endorphins, which are the body's natural painkillers. Desensitization of nerves, on the other hand, focuses on retraining the nervous system to tolerate pain stimuli better. Through a combination of segmental neuro anatomical acupuncture, manual therapy, cupping and nerve desensitization with electro acupuncture, the nerves become less sensitive, allowing individuals to experience less pain and increased functionality. By integrating these approaches, individuals suffering from herniated discs can find relief from their symptoms and improve their overall quality of life.
